About the Company

Our client, has evolved over the past 30 years to become the industry leader in Commercial Plumbing. With a team of over 200 employees they are delivering Australia's largest projects. They strive to consistently deliver and manage Australia's largest plumbing projects with excellence. They have recently been appointed as the successful contractor for a Prison Project in Lara and are now seeking the following position.

About the Role

The role will be based in Tullamarine at their head office and is full time. Hours of work can be any time from 6.30am -4.30pm with opportunity for flexibility. This is an excellent opportunity to join an industry leader in a commercial plumbing company with an excellent reputation and a supportive management team. It will be working on national roles predominantly VIC/NSW.

Duties include:

Training

  • Manage training with CEPUTEC's online portal
  • Manage training with the MPA
  • Training EWP VOC on site
Subcontractor management

  • Coaching subcontractors
  • Reviewing "Subbies packs" prior to submission Vic/NSW
  • Altering subcontractor's docs as required to suit principals' requirements
Apprentice management

  • Organise Start-ups/School/Apprenticeship Victoria/Apprentice/Cbus
  • Manage incentive payments/Covid payments
  • Liaise/organise with Apprenticeships Victoria for their reviews (Only 1st & 2nd years)
  • Organise apprentice reviews
  • Manage online school results
  • Track apprentice progress
  • Organise enrolments of apprentice for every year of their trade school
  • In conjunction with RMIT, alter training packages to get best outcome for our apprentices
OH&S

  • Research/develop/implement/review policies & procedures as per industry changes
  • Risk Assessments & SWMS development & submission Vic/NSW
  • Audits Vic/NSW
  • Site walks & toolboxes
  • Maintaining high risk equipment
  • OH&S component of inductions
  • Liaise with industry stakeholder's principal safety managers/councillors etc.
  • Project Safety Plan development & submission
  • Managing vaccinations, Hep A & B etc.
  • Manage mental health cases/Incolink/worker support
  • Incident investigation
  • Site based OHS on major projects
Skills and Experience:

  • Diploma/Cert 4 level OHS qualification
  • 5+ years of experience in similar construction environment
  • Strong work Ethic
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player
  • Current Victorian Driver's licence
  • Australian Citizen
  • Police check
Benefits:

A salary will be offered to attract and retain the best candidate/s and will be based on the experience of the applicant. Salary range: $110,000 - $150,000 + super
